The Summit Lodge, Gladstone provides 5-star hosted accommodation for a maximum of 6 guests in a private wing of the house. Close to several wineries, golf courses and many other Wairarapa attractions; 1.5 hrs to Wellington and South Island ferry and on the Classic Wine Trail between Hawkes Bay and Wellington. Each of the three en-suite guest rooms features individual heat pumps, private patio areas, under-tile heating in the bathroom, fluffy bathrobes and either super-king or twin single beds. Rooms have a rural outlook of rolling hills and farmland and unpolluted night skies. Guests have the option of booking a room or the entire guest wing for their exclusive us, check availability on our website Guests have a lounge area to relax in with home theatre system and cable TV, recliner leather seating, heat pump and open wood fire in the cooler months, a range of complimentary teas and coffee as well as home baking. A netbook PC as well as Wifi access are provided. The tariff includes breakfast – including home toasted muesli, fresh fruit, hot bread and preserves, free range eggs, locally cured bacon and espresso coffee or tea. Guests are also invited to join their hosts for pre-dinner drinks and canapés at 6pm each evening. A small selection of local wines are available for purchase. Dinner is available on request at additional cost (24 hrs notice required) and features seasonal, slow cooked produce and home baking. Alternatively, guests may choose to dine at the local award-winning country inn to which complimentary transportation is provided. Gourmet picnics are also available on request at additional cost. On the 10-acre site are extensively planted gardens for guests to enjoy including a sheltered courtyard and large spa pool, petanque court, wildflower meadow and orchard.
