It has a swimming pool, deck, and tiki house which offers a spot for relaxation especially after a full day of touring. You have a choice of spending your day touring or just stick around and be pampered. You can also spend the day or evening 'bird watching'. We have a Mayan masseuse that will relieve your stress with a Mayan massage. Every evening is a new experience seeing the sky and stars. There are 100 acres of land around the hacienda. It is also within a 20 minute drive from the famous colonial city of Izamal. Hacienda is between Tahmek, Yucatan and Hoctun, Yucatan on the highway from MERIDA to CANCUN. One hour drive from the ruins of CHICHEN ITZA. 20 minute drive from the city of Izamal, Yucatan, It has three bedrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. It has a swimming pool for your pleasure during your resting time. You have a palapa (tiki hut) where you can lay down and enjoy the breeze and spend some time just relaxing. Make sure to bring your favorite set of binoculars so you can spend some time bird watching. There are all kinds of Yucatecan birds. We have some binoculars available but you might have your own special pair.

Hacienda San Jose Poniente is the perfect place to have an outdoor wedding in an eco-friendly environment. The facilities can handle as many as three hundred people without any problem. The deck around the swimming pool can easily handle a hundred people. The grassy area next to the pool can handle an additional hundred people and the area around the house can handle two hundred people. This does not include the open area in front of the house which has handled up to four hundred people for a wedding. We can help arrange your wedding arrangements for food, accommodations and transportation. We can also help include a day at a beach house for a party and a day of touring and eating in the town of Izamal which is one of the oldest Mayan cities.
