Toucan Blue is a beautiful four bedroom beach house located 20 kilometers east of the Roatan International airport, mid-island on the scenic north coast in Milton Bight. The crystal clear Caribbean water is just steps from the front door and the second largest barrier reef in the world approximately 300 meters before you. Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras, is included in the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die by Patricia Schultz. For years, Roatan was known mainly to divers for the exquisite diving adventure around the barrier reef. The improved infrastructure on the island now brings growing tourism and cruise ship passengers. English is the main language of the island, with Spanish widely spoken, and US currency is accepted.
It is decorated in fresh, lively colors of the Caribbean with photos of various Roatan scenes placed throughout the house. Ceiling fans and air conditioning are available in each room. While staying at Toucan Blue you can enjoy the options of TV, VCR/DVD, stereo/CD player with indoor/outdoor speakers, and wireless internet access. The bright, open main floor of the house has hardwood floors and tall ceilings.
It's a great place to relax with morning coffee, and the barbecue grill brings cooking outdoors. It's also a perfect place to listen to the soft waves breaking against the reef and for star gazing at night. The sapphire blue bedroom on the upper level is adjacent to the large ceramic tile covered deck with panoramic views of the sea and reef. It has a private bathroom with shower, tall ceilings and is surrounded by windows. Rates: up to 2 guests in one bedroom $900/week; up to 4 guests in two bedrooms $1100/week; up to 6 guests in three bedrooms $1350/week; up to 8 guests in four bedrooms $1600/week.
