Cedar log cabin on a remote, heavily wooded lot, on the water, with 200 feet of lakefront shoreline, at the edge of Papineau-Labelle Provincial Preserve. Much of the furnishing in this family cabin is antique, but it's comfortable and fully operational. Built on a rather steep incline, the cabin commands a view of the lake from a height of 35 steps above the lake and is 35 steps down from the parking lot above. At the shore is a boat house with dock and a crescent shaped sandy beach leading to a rocky point of land. The lake is drinkable, over a mile long and connects by boat with a larger lake to the north.
The Main Floor: Features two bedrooms with closets, full bathroom, and the living/dining/kitchen area. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and overlooks the lake. The smaller bedroom has a view of the forest and houses a 3/4 sized bed. A baby crib is available on request. The living room looks over the lake and forest through two picture windows, with fireplace, stereo, TV, telephone, and a couch which pulls out to make a single bed.
The Lower Level: The lower level, with a door to the outside, features a corner bedroom with queen-size bed and windows facing the lake (to the east) and forest (to the south). Also on this floor is the utility/storage room containing washer, dryer, back-up generator and a back-up refrigerator.
