North Curl Curl Beach is located 300 metres away, surrounded by cliffs and dunes. Clean waves make it a popular surfing spot. Even at the height of summer its long stretch of golden sand remain relatively uncrowded. During summer it has lifeguard patrolled swimming areas and an enclosed ocean pool.
Directly across the road from the Beach House is a grassy reserve, ideal for a family game of cricket, ball throwing, or kite flying. It also has a children's playground with swings, seesaw and slippery dip. Stoney Range Nature Reserve in Dee Why is a great picnic destination with BBQ facilities provided Netball and football fields are just down the road. Ku-ring-gai National Park is close by on the Northern beaches peninsular.
