Five Gables Cottage is situated at the south-east end of the village of Binchester, approximately 3 miles north-east of Bishop Auckland and 8 miles south-west of Durham City.

The house, built circa 1860, is opposite the owners' Guest House,
and has been completely re-furbished with facilities and equipment for
five guests to sleep in two bedrooms. The house is fully double glazed.
The bedrooms and bathroom are situated on the first floor.
The kitchen/diner and lounge are situated on the ground floor
The front entrance is via a double glazed porch with coat rack.

The main bedroom has one double bed and one single bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, hairdrier & bedside tables.

The bathroom has bath, shower, toilet & washbasin.

The large lounge is equipped with a gas fire, TV, video recorder, radio/CD, large coffee table
and writing desk. There is a range of books, games etc. as well as tourist information provided.

The kitchen has a gas hob and electric grill/oven, fridge/freezer, micro-wave, toaster, kettle and auto-washing machine/dryer, with ample storage units plus a large storage cupboard with shelving.
Vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board are provided.

All rooms have been furnished to provide comfort for guests. Central heating is by gas-fired hot water radiators with thermostatic valves in each room and a room thermostat in the lounge.
There is gated parking on site for 2 cars, with garden & lawn to the front and side, and a paved patio area to the rear.
A garden table and chairs are provided.
A gas Bar-B-Que is available on request.
There is exterior lighting to front and rear.
