Located on Highway 192 West less than 10 minutes drive from Walt Disney Theme Parks & Resorts. Vista Del Lago is without doubt one of the most beautiful locations in the Disney area. The complex has 24 hour gated security at the main entrance for your safety and peace of mind. Within Vista Del Lago’s 275 acres you will find a clean, peaceful and friendly community. The Clubhouse is centrally located within the complex and overlooks 90 acre Racoon Lake with its boat launch and fishing pier. There are 3 large solar heated communal pools (one of which is 100 yards from our villa) kiddies pool, hot tubs and sauna, all open late so its great to “chill out” after a long day at the Theme Parks. Enjoy free use of all these amenities including fitness centre, floodlit tennis courts, basket ball and racquet ball courts, shuffleboards and pool tables in the games room. Sports equipment can be borrowed from the Clubhouse reception. Guests can also join in some of the arranged activities which include bingo, crafts and coffee mornings (information can be found at the Clubhouse reception) There are several golf courses in the local area and the nearest is at Orange Lakes, next door!! At the main entrance to Vista Del Lago there is an internet café, English tea rooms, Sports bar with sky sports coverage, Domino’s Pizza Take away and a beauty salon. There is a Chinese restaurant and MacDonalds across the highway. Although a car or people carrier is usually the most convenient way to get around, it is not essential. You can make use of buses, taxis and there are some private hirers (within Vista Del Lago) that will be available to you for as long as you need them. Our1600sq foot villa is a spacious 3 bedroom detached home with large car port. It is fully air-conditioned with added ceiling fans, It is luxuriously furnished and includes an open plan living area which comfortably seats 6 guests and has cable tv, dvd, books and games The telephone can receive incoming calls and you can make local calls (ordering home delivery etc) you will need to buy a phone card available in most shops and then you can make International calls from the house phone. There are 2 dining areas and a breakfast bar. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, cable tv and a very spacious en-suite bathroom, which includes 2 vanity units, wc, bath tub and separate shower cubicle. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has twin beds. The second bathroom includes wc, vanity unit and shower over bath tub. All linen and towels are provided. The fully fitted kitchen and laundry room include washer, dryer, iron and board, oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and coffee maker. We have a large screen porch with patio furniture where you can sit and watch the hot air balloons go by and in the evening (if you’re home in time!!) you can see the Disney fireworks in the distance.It is less than 10 minutes drive to the Disney Theme Parks, 15 minutes drive to Sea World and Discovery Cove and the famous International Drive where you will find Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Wet N Wild water parks. Visit the Mercado Centre with its Mediterranean style buildings surrounding a courtyard, where its street entertainers and live bands are there to entertain you. Here you can visit “Titanic” an amazing experience. There are vast shopping malls and designer outlets with something for everyone so you can “shop ‘til you drop” !! Within a short distance of Vista Del Lago along the Highway 192 you will find a large assortment of restaurants, including American Diners, Chinese, Italian, Australian, Irish Bars and many fast food courts. There are a large variety of affordable shops and entertainment including adventure golf, air boat rides, jet skiing and other water sports, go-karts, horse riding, helicopter and hot air balloon rides. “Old Town” which is located at “Marker 8” (the 192 highway has signs at 1 mile intervals which make it easy to remember certain locations like Vista Del Lago is just after marker 4) You can recognise Old Town from a distance with its fairground attractions, shops and bars. Be sure to visit at the weekend when the “classic cars” cruise the streets. Get there early about 5 – 6 pm, park up and enjoy!! “Celebration” is a quiet town with beautiful shops and waterfront café bars and restaurants. Take a leisurely stroll around the lake and surrounding area and see wildlife in its natural habitat. The main street comes to life at weekends when the town has themed entertainment, crafts and live bands. There are a number of themed dinner shows, all at great value for money. Down Town Orlando boasts the famous “Church Street Station” with live entertainment and dinner shows. Tourist attraction guides can be found in Vista Del Lago’s reception and at most shops and restaurants. A little further away you can visit Cyprus Gardens a leisurely walk round its beautiful landscaped gardens and catch a stunning water sport show. Travel north to St Augustine where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around this very old historic town and get a feeling Florida’s past. Take a horse drawn carriage trip along the river front and take in the beautiful scenery. Take a 90 minute drive out to the East Coast to enjoy a fascinating tour around Kennedy Space Centre. Catch the waves at the famous Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach resorts. Travel west to Tampa Bay and Busch Gardens. It will take about 90 minutes to get there from Vista Del Lago. Drive on out over the long causeway to Clearwater Beach with its white sandy beaches. You can enjoy boat excursions, fishing trips and evening boat trips where you can experience beautiful sunsets and watch the dolphins jump the waves!!. Your return journey from Clearwater is about 2 hours. Further south on the Gulf Coast and you can visit Sarasota and Naples which both have exclusive shops, white sandy beaches and of course the beautiful west coast sunsets. You will need to take an overnight stop to visit these places. If you decide to venture to Fort Lauderdale, Miami, The Everglades or the Florida keys you will need to stop over en-route. You will need to allow plenty of time at each location. The Everglades, miles and miles of swamp lands with resident alligators and native Indian Reserves. If you venture an airboat ride (not to be missed) be sure to protect yourself with strong sunscreens and insect bite repellent!! Miami is a vast city with a huge harbour and sea port you can board the Caribbean cruise liners from here (Pre-booking essential) The boat trips up the inter-coastal rivers are a must if you want to see how the millionaires live!! Travel further south to the Florida keys, a string of islands linked together by miles of causeways. It is over 130 miles from Key Lago to Key West and not a MacDonalds in site!! From Key West you can get a glass bottomed boat trip out to the coral reef or go snorkelling or diving. Visit the harbour front and be amazed at the grandeur of the cruise liners that dwarf the little fishing boats. Enjoy the sunset on the pier with lots of street entertainers.
