Apartment to rent in Playas de Fornells Balearic Islands Island of Menorca Spain

A beautifully appointed spacious one-bedroom apartment, furnished to a high standard. Our apartment is set in an area of well-maintained and landscaped gardens with delightful varieties of flowering trees, plants and shrubs, in a lovely, peaceful coastal location. There are views over the bay and the beach, which, along with the restaurants and shops, is only 5 minutes walk away. Our accommodation will sleep 2-4 persons and is ideal for couples and small families. Cot and high-chair hire is available.

Our apartment has one bedroom with a double bed and fitted wardrobes.
There is an over-bath shower, wash-basin, toilet, bidet and washing machine in the bathroom.
Our spacious lounge has a large comfortable sofa bed and a dining table and chairs. There is a traditional fireplace and part-beamed ceiling feature with a picture window with view over the bay. A portable CD/radio/cassette player is provided for guests’ use.
Our kitchen is very well-equipped with electric oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, microwave grill, kettle and toaster. An iron and ironing-board are also provided.
Our private sun terrace overlooks the bay and has patio furniture. Steps lead to a lawned area with sun-loungers.
Our apartment is cleaned before our guests' arrival and fresh linen and towels are supplied. Extra cleaning is available on request. On-road parking is provided.
There is a pool at the nearby aparthotel which guests may use if they patronise the bar or cafe.
The safe, shallow beach of Cala Tirant is only a few minutes walk away. There are several local bars, restaurants and supermarkets to choose from.

Playas de Fornells is a quiet resort situated in the north of the island. The resort consists of attractive developments of mostly private apartments and villas with pretty gardens. The colourful vegetation, largely consisting of aromatic shrubs and cacti, sets off the architecture. The western end has a wide sandy beach whilst the eastern end is a contrast formed of rocky outcrops.

3km to the east is the original fishing village of Fornells, which still retains its traditional character. It sits on the western side of a broad bay, which is ideal for windsurfing and sailing. Fornells has several renowned restaurants and has in recent times become the smart place to eat, following patronage by King Juan Carlos. The village can be reached by a 30-minute rugged walk round the headland from the eastern end of Playas de Fornells, or in 5 minutes by car.

Son Parc has the only golf course on the island and is 15 minutes drive away. There is also a large safe sandy beach. Other beaches close by include Binimel-la and Cala Mica, and the south coast boasts many beautiful beaches. Other local activities include horse-riding, cycling, pony-trekking and walking.
