Shannonview House is a completely furnished,comfortable 9-room home. On the first floor you will find a parlour, dining room, library, kitchen and breakfast room. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, washer and dryer.There are four bedrooms sleeping seven on the second floor along with a large bathroom. All linens are provided.
In our small village, there is a pub, small groceryshop, post office, school, church and community center. The villagers are warm, friendly, and always ready to help with directions, etc. The striking panoramic views of the River Shannon, farmland, and rolling hills invite long walks, biking, and swimming at the quay. Labasheeda, 22 miles west of Ennis on the banks of the River Shannon, is set on a peninsula with sweeping fields and the most spectacular views overlooking the River Shannon that anyone could ever wish to see! It is less than an hour's drive from Shannon Airport. For touring purposes, its location is perfect. A fifteen minute drive to the Killimer-Tarbert Ferry brings you across the Shannon to the Southwest which affords opportunities to visit Tralee, Dingle Peninsula, Kilarney and more. Some possible day trips include the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Ailwee Caves, Castles, Atlantic Beaches, Dingle Peninsula, Loop Head, and the Bridges of Ross.
Labasheeda is quiet and peaceful. Just a half hour's drive will bring you to the bustling towns of Kilrush to the west and Ennis to the northeast where you can find many fine restaurants, tradional music pubs, and good shopping.
The Shannon region has twenty top-rated golf courses including world-rated championship courses at Lahinch, Ballybunion and Doonbeg. The closest 18-hole course is twenty minutes in Kilrush.
From Shannonview House you can enjoy the West of Ireland, which is said to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, and come home to turf fires, a stroll along the river, and in the summer, sunsets at 10:30. We are sure you will truly enjoy your stay at Shannonview House.
