Villa Melitta is a noble house built by George Hatzidakis. He used all his research into traditional architecture and put all his love into the house. The project finished in 2001. In the middle of a 5000 sq.m fruit grove, rises a small palace, reminding us of a Venetian villa.
Melitta is situated just outside of the village of Melidoni, in a quiet environment with a broad and beautiful view of the Tallaia mountains and Psiloritis. There is a wide variety of trees in its huge garden – orange, olive, pear, apple, and peach trees – offering fruits throughout the year. There are also flowers and organic grown vegetables in the back yard of the house. The house covers 220 sq.m and there are 4 bedrooms – two on the ground floor and two on the upper floor – which can accommodate 8 persons, or even 10 if you use the two sofa-beds of the sitting room. It has a tasteful interior and there are two verandahs on the upper floor, offering you a choice of the view you prefer. On the ground floor there is a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace, as well as a spacious kitchen. There are facilities on the upper floor, too.
The 50 sq.m adult swimming pool and the 12 sq.m children’s swimming pool offer you moments of peace and relaxation. There are some excellent facilities such as BBQ, children’s playground, parking area, central heating, washing machine, dishwasher, telephone, internet connection, radio, satellite TV, CD player and two bicycles.
The discreet stone wall surrounding the gardens and the cool shade of the house offer privacy and, you will feel that, time passes by at your own pace, offering you a sense of childish happiness.
The village of Melidoni, which is just next to you, gives you the opportunity to take a stroll through the narrow streets or have a cup of coffee at one of the lively traditional café’s in the village square. You can also taste local food in the tavern or do your shopping at the mini market. There is also a first aid in the village. Perama is just 3 km away and has a wide range of shops where you can find anything you need as well as other services such as banks, post office, health centre, chemist’s etc. There are many interesting places to visit and a car will allow you to enjoy them. But you will surely desire to return quickly to your own little paradise… Melitta.
